I will never understand why some football fans only count Super Bowl titles when talking about championships.  There was an NFL before the Super Bowl and there were championships before the Super Bowl. If the World Series changed its name to The Super World Series, would all championships before then be forgotten and not counted as well? No.

Just let it be known this can apply to both genders, I’m gonna approach it from the male perspective because well, I’m a male.

Of all the women who I have dated, the two that were an only child are the two that were higher maintenance; it was their way and that they didnt like to compromise as often as other women I’ve dated who were not an only child. These are also the only two women who never offered to pay for dinner, though one didnt have a job while in school and she did at least get the tips.   With both of these women, I was the one who was always at fault; it was never them.  Yes, I make mistakes, I’m human, but so are you (the two ex’s I’m referring to).

Has anyone noticed this? It makes sense, they didnt have to share as much growing up more than likely because they didnt have any siblings. And this isnt necessarily a bad thing having a little bit of a maintenance fee (as one of those two women I dated for a long time, and as long as there was a connection I didnt mind her being a little high maintenance at times).

I know this has to be taken as a case by cases situation, as I know someone who is the 3rd of 3 children (the baby) and is pretty high maintenance in my opinion, but I cannot help to think there is a correlation between being an only child and being high maintenance; of course high maintenance is in the eye of the beholder.

A 3rd Tom Brady Rule?

February 6, 2012

I consider myself very knowledgeable when it comes to NFL rules.  During the game, a house full of people rooting against the Patriots (and one true Giants fan, myself) and one Patriots fans were joking about the two Tom Brady Rules.  Namely the tuck rule and then the ankle rule that went into effect when Brady went out for the season in 2008.

Watching the final drive when the Giants had 12 men on the field, I had a heart attack.  I knew 12 men on the field, isn’t a huge penalty, only 5 yards, but we were giving the Patriots another play, and with time being very valuable, I was thinking this was a huge mistake by the Giants.  But then something happened that I did not expect, the time was not added back onto the clock after the play and the penalty.

To the shock of the room, no one in the room knew that on a 12 men on the field penalty, the clock is not reset at the end of the play.  I am not complaining as it helped the Giants, but I think it is a bad rule.  I truly expect this to be addressed in the offseason, and it will be referred to as another Brady rule.  I totally disagree with the tuck rule, Brady fumbled, and I do not have enough medical knowledge to comment on the  below the knee hit rule, but the 12 men on the field rule should be changed.  At the end of the “play” the offense should have a chance to accept or decline the penalty.  If the team accepts, then the time is put back on the clock.

Are there other rules like this in the NFL that I do not know about?  I guess I really have never paid too much attention until it now when it was in the closing moments of an important game.

Everyone has heard songs like “Sympathy for the Devil”, “Bohemian Rhapsody”, “Come Together”, and many other major hits hundreds of times.  Everyone knows of them, songs from some of the most popular bands ever; The Rolling Stones, Queen and the Beatles among many others.

For every radio staple from a great band, they have at least 2 or 3 other songs that are just as good,  if not better.  Some bands like Queen and Bruce Springsteen, I think their best songs are the ones that typically get no radio play time.

I have compiled a list of hidden gems, songs that traditionally do not show up on compilations or get radio air play by some of my favorite bands.  They aren’t listed in any particular order.  For The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen, I know I undersold their gems on here because I’m such a big fan and I feel like all their songs are hits!
